You’ll sit down with one of our friendly providers to chat about your goals, concerns, and what’s been bothering you in the mirror lately (we’ve all been there). They’ll evaluate your chin and jawline, review your medical history, and determine if KYBELLA is a good fit. You’ll learn how many sessions you may need, what results to expect, and what the treatment feels like.
Treatment
Your provider cleanses the targeted area and may apply a numbing agent to keep things comfortable. Using a precise injection pattern, small amounts of KYBELLA are placed into the targeted fat under your chin or along the jawline. The process typically takes 15-20 minutes. You might feel a brief warming or tingling sensation: that’s totally normal. Then you’re back to your day.
Recovery
After treatment, you can expect swelling, redness, tenderness, and possibly bruising in the treated area: this is a sign the product is doing its job. Swelling is usually most noticeable for the first 2-4 days and gradually improves over 1-2 weeks. Mild firmness, numbness, or itching can also occur and typically resolves on its own. Most people return to normal activities the same day or the next, but strenuous workouts should be avoided for a day or two.
Results
You’ll start noticing changes as swelling settles and your body clears the treated fat cells, usually within 4-6 weeks. Most people need a series of 2-4 sessions spaced about a month apart for optimal sculpting. Once those fat cells are gone, they’re gone for good, making results long-lasting.
